Iframe

On-pageSEOServer ResponsesUser Experience

An Iframe, which is short for an Inline Frame, is a special HTML tag that was developed in order to embed some content from an external webpage onto a webmaster’s webpage. The most commonly used Iframes include those that share tweets, YouTube videos, and maps sourced from various mapping platforms.

Iframes are versatile and can embed and share a wide array of different content on your website. They’re used in order to promote certain pages and websites, or simply to share highly relevant content from a business’ social media pages onto their main website’s home page.

How to Use an Iframe

In order to create an Iframe, you’ll need to use a specific code that you can look up online. The key metrics that you’ll be interested in from a design and presentation perspective include the parameters of width, height and frame border thickness that you’ll use for the display. Ensure these are correctly coded from each Iframe you use on your website, so that you’re certain the content will function properly when embedded on your webpages.
