Link juice, sometimes called link love, is a slang term used by SEO experts and other digital marketers. It refers to the beneficial effects of a backlink for a website or webpage ranking on search engine results pages.
SEO marketers use this term in particular when a link is regarded as particularly significant – such as backlinks from an authoritative source. It’s also used when a website sets up a backlink relationship with another website, or several websites, in order to build out a network of backlinks to improve all of the websites’ SEO rank.
