The Things to Do feature, sometimes called Top Sights, is a rectangular box that appears on some search engine results pages (SERPs). It details some of the top attractions that can be seen in and around a location that has been keyed into the search engine.
The trigger for this box to appear is the typing in of a location. When a search engine anticipates that the user is interested in researching local attractions, it will display three or four Top Sights at the top of the SERP.
The box works differently on mobile and desktop. On mobile, clicking on an attraction opens the organisation’s Knowledge Panel, displaying more information about the sight. On desktop, it opens the Local Finder display, including a map of the vicinity of the sight and the Knowledge Panel.
