URL Parameter

URL Parameters are added to any base URL in order to create a variation on a landing page, or to track traffic moving around the webpage. In some cases, they feature search terms within the URL parameter that are separated by a plus (+) symbol.

To spot a URL Parameter, look out for q question mark within any given URL, at the end of the base URL. This indicates that the elements following the question mark are parameters not included within the base URL, and therefore influence the webpage presented by the URL.
