Google Posts allow business owners to publish content from their website onto the Knowledge Panel of their business. This information is then shown up on SERP pages and in Google Maps. The function of this feature is to give businesses some control over how they are seen and understood online.
The posts that businesses are able to share include text and images but can also include call to action buttons such as “Learn more”, or “Buy Now.” As such, these posts are considered to be useful in driving relevant traffic to the business’ website.
